Jones the Grocer!

If you're thinking of having a satisfying western breakfast, this is one awesome place to check out at the mandarin gallery xD We wanted to dine at Wild Honey's at first, but it was SUPER crowded as usual :( I think their place is really too small! So we went up a few floors and discovered this cool new cafe-restaurant! It originated in Aussie btw :D

Ben, my good friend xD hahaha the eggs benedict were really really good!

The eggs were poached perfectly :) Gordon Ramsay could cut open the egg and say mhmm :)

Thick and fluffy coconut pancakes with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream! The pancakes were seriouslyyy thick :O I couldn't really taste the coconut, which is good, cos it gave the pancakes a mouthwatering aroma without making them taste like kaya cakes :)

Duck pasta :) The pasta was homemade and you could really taste the egg and flour in it. Mm honestly the same dish at Prego's much much better.

Potato soup i think!

Oh this is really good :) There's like lime and a variety of fruits that you can choose from together with norwegian sparkling water :D Super refreshing! Tasted a little like the jammy sodas served in Out Of The Pan though, but not so jammish hahaha.

We went during lunch and it was really crowded, mainly caucasian tourists actually. But the queue moved pretty fast and service was fast and efficient. We had to kinda squeeze at a 2-seater table at first due to the lack of tables, but was immediately transferred to a 4-seater when one was available. A great change from places that either ignore how squashed and crammed you look or forget to give you another table though you requested for it. Oh plus, the prices are reasonable, ranging from 10-20 plus for a dish. Anw, do take note that not everything on the menu is served the whole day! They have breakfast, lunch and dinner timings, though breakfast ends pretty late and overlaps with lunch (hence the duck pasta and pancakes). Oh the scones are rather huge and really tasty too xD The next time I go I'll be sure to check out their awesome looking desserts like red velvet cakes and fruit tarts!

P.S. they even have a cheese counter for you to taste and buy cheese and a sortof store which sells their pasta, sauce, sparking water and a good many other things :D
