Cedele :)

My favourite restaurant in Singapore ever! I have lunch there practically once a week :D The food tastes really natural and healthy (no trans fat and only organic unrefined sugar is used to bake their awesome cakes!) and is of very good quality too :) This is definitely the place for the health conscious but not so much the budget conscious. Prices range from 2-3 bucks each for a good variety of scones, 4-5 for more intricate pastries (like cupcakes) and 10-20 plus for larger food items. The menu features mainly western cruisine but there is curry as well. There are many vegetarian and vegan options, and they have so kindly indicated gluten-free dishes as well. Most of the main dishes contain garlic and onion though, so my mum who doesn't take either settles for their awesome pastries and cakes instead. Their soup is very popular as there is a good selection and comes with free flow bread which you can help yourself to at the bread counter :) What's more, Cedele has all day breakfast!

Banana cupcake with lemon frosting and half a macaroon :) The cake was moist and went super well with the creamy lemony frosting and orange zest xD

Signature carrot cake! Awesome and moist, not too sweet

Mango tart with earl grey ice cream :)

Blueberry maple cake mmm

Extraordinarily good brownie! with special vanilla bean ice cream :D

Red velvet cake I bought my mum for her birthday! Tasted great, though not sweet enough for me hehe

Organic homemade soy bean milk, tastes really natural haha not sweet unless you add syrup!

The hot version of the soy milk :)

Grilled sea bass with brie cheese sandwich :)

The great thing abt Cedele is that they always have a variety of bread baked daily :) This is a crab cake pumpkin bread sandwich

Crab cake sandwich but with ciabatta bread! Mm I couldn't really taste crab though hahaha

Grilled vegetables (pumpkin, red capsicum, shitake mushroom and eggplant mainly) in delicious onion balsamic sauce xD I really love the sauce hahaha <3

Another vegetarian option with wholegrain bread :) It's some sort of bean patty with a kind of Indian spice

Really good spicy mushroom aglio olio. Freshest mushroom pasta I've ever tried :) Oh and see the drink in the background? It's one of their many healthy mixed fruit juices like Super C and stuff. Their cranberry and blueberry scones are really awesome too!

Cranberry scones set for abt 7 bucks. Comes with sweet mascarpone cream :) It's kinda like cream cheese actually.

Black pepper soft shell crab penne

Lemon Salmon hahaha

Grilled chicken on a potato pancake

Some vegetarian pastry main with red onion chutney, yummy :) It's cheaper and tastes better than another vegetarian main called vegetable stacks which is really a stumpy stack of grilled vege haha (didn't have enough potatoes!)

Brekkie! you can choose either sauteed mushrooms or bacon rashers or bangers to go along with the soft fluffy scrambled egg :)

Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and bacon rashers! Not stingy on the blueberries at all:)

I think Cedele recently updated their menu and is offering more food items currently :) Here's their new mushroom risotto. A bit disappointing I must say, as it wasn't cooked to a 'creamy consistency' like most risottos. Rather, it tasted like short grained rice in mushroom broth.

FYI, the cedele at taka can be quite packed on weekends during lunch and tea! Sometimes the queue's really long...enjoy!:)
